VidDay or KeepSakePage?

VidDay gives you the tools to make the video: contributors upload clips, you arrange them in a timeline with themes and backgrounds, and you pay by the length of the finished montage. It has been doing that for ten years, with apps, video books, gift-card pooling and live chat seven days a week.

KeepSakePage is aimed at a neighbouring job: collect every kind of message, including by phone from the relatives who won't open a link, let an AI director cut the film, and leave the honoree a page with every message on it. It is a beta, run by one person. If you want to edit the video yourself, VidDay is the better pick. If you want the film made for you and the page kept afterwards, that is what KeepSakePage is for.

VidDay's facts were read on their own site on October 15, 2026. Prices and limits change; corrections to contact@keepsakepage.com.

Questions people ask

Is KeepSakePage a VidDay alternative?

For the same occasion, yes: a group of people record messages for one person, and a film comes out. The products differ in who makes the film. On VidDay you assemble it; on KeepSakePage a director cuts it and you steer. VidDay also sells physical keepsakes and gift pooling, which KeepSakePage does not.

Which is cheaper?

For a short montage, VidDay: $5 for up to three minutes and $15 for up to ten, paid once you are happy. KeepSakePage is free during its beta, by invite, and its workplace page is $299 with an invoice. Neither charges the honoree or the contributors.

Can I edit the film myself on KeepSakePage?

You can reorder clips, switch any off, trim or split a recording by tapping the phrases in its transcript, set a Look and a photo background, and tell the director what to change in plain English. You cannot scrub a timeline. If that is what you want, choose VidDay.

Can grandparents without a smartphone take part?

On KeepSakePage, yes, by phone: every page has a number. They call, hear the honoree's name, and talk. We looked for an equivalent on vidday.com and did not find one; a family member can record on their behalf there.

What does the honoree keep afterwards?

On VidDay, the finished video. On KeepSakePage, the whole page, with every message, photo, recording and song, plus a downloadable archive. A KeepSakePage page runs for a year; the archive is theirs for good.
